I have recently acquired a 1985 Hartge H23 which is very untidy and presents me with a real project.

I have the mechanical side of it underway and am looking to get to work on the cosmetics. On the long list of things I am trying to source is a new set of bumper mouldings all round (it has the chrome style bumpers - although they are painted body colour in my case).

Looking on realoem, there are normal mouldings and m-tech ones. How do I tell what sort I have? Can anyone post pics?

Thanks guys.

I dont know what the difference is but yours look normal to me.

Something I wil say is, spend the extra money and get the bits from BMW. I went to replace a few of my bumper trim bits but got aftermarket ones and they were really bad quality so I still had to go to BMW and buy them again!

The car looks pretty nice by the way.

Thanks Steviec - it looks better in the pics than in real life - but is basically a very sound proposition. It will be getting a full respray and new trim bits (and yes - real oem stuff) and will then look fantastic. Interior is in pretty good nick and will clean up very well.

Cheers

Certainly look like standard bumper mouldings to me, too.

The BMW ones are better quality. Fit better and are evena deeper black with neater mouldings.

C3 in South London is good at getting OEM bits that you won't get at ECp or GSF.

The mtech ones are different to allow for the kit to sit up against the moulding. As your H23 doesn't have a kit on, you wont need them!

The car looks really nice, would love to see some more pics of it if possible, interior and exterior.
