Now we have dark evenings, the lack of lights on my heater controls is starting to irritate me,where is the bulb hidden, please?

If i remember there is one bulb that fits at about the "5 '0' clock" position on the fan control switch. If you undo the heater/radio panel screws above the centre console you should be able to prise the bottom right corner out far enough to access it. There is also one on the other side near the temp' control switch but I can't remember the exact location.

The one on the temp control side is at the 2 o'clock position and if you have a clock can be easily accessed by removing the clock.
If you've got the OBC, second option would be removing your stereo (although some of the newer ones require special tools) and as datourer says, the final method is to undo the screws holding heater control block in which are just under the grey trim at the bottom and behind the hazard light and rear heater switches at the top - if my memory is right.
