baisicly i cant operate my doorlocks with my key the boot lock still works and opperates the central locking so i can get in oh and also has any1 got any ideas why my key fob has stopped working as this also unlocks my doors and arms me alarm and immobiliser please help
tec 2 man saying NO to chrome bumper and tec 1 wrongness!!!!!!!!!

First port of call.
Whip out the right hand kickpanel, find the two red/black wires going into the door through the A pillar.
Cut these two and join them this side of the pillar. May well solve your problem.
If not get the central locking relay out and check for the Overheat protection metal spring thing

If the central locking works from the boot, then both the red/black wire thing and the locking ECU are OK, although the red/black wires are worth doing in any case.
The problem with the doors is probably basicaly down to lack of use, as I susspect the locks are normaly only operated by the remote keyfob.
Dismantle, clean, adjust and lubricate will probably sort the manual doorlocks.
Most likely reasons for the keyfob not working are that it's simply broken, or has a flat battery.
