are lights on my 1991 e30 switchable from uk to continental

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

ive heard on the grapevine that my lights are already fitted with continental lights but i dont know how to switch them over

does anybody know if this is true

If you have ellipsoid, which you should have! The lights are adjustable from the rear of the lights, there are 3 screws which need to be loosened and the whole units twisted, retighten......all in 5 minutes - I think I have pictures, pm me with email!! Are you on Broadband!

Looking at the pic below, see the small 'philips' gold coloured screws next to each of the plastic aim adjusters...there are 3 on each lamp, its these you loosen and rotate - I believe it rotates about 40 deg only. The lights are not the sharpest, but correct for Europe!

Here is another image which still show the gold screws - You only have to do the outer lights, not the high beam!
