Hi all, got a problem with fuse 17 which keeps blowing but not always straight away.Is there a common cause for this,Cars an 86 325i cab if that helps.

Fuse 17 is sunroof(perhaps not on a cab) and windows.
No common fault for this fuse to blow when switches aren't being pressed.

No wire from fuse 17 goes anywhere near the steering cowling!

Thats spooky then Brian.took the cowling off as it was last thing i touched before having this prob. There were
5 wires that i had managed to nip and were showing bare wiring.Taped them up and now windows work without having engine running and a door open.
