Wife came home and told me that there were no instruments working (bar the speedo) and that the mirrors had stopped as well.
Tracked it down to fuse 10.
Replaced fuse and with ignition on all OK, Started the engine and it blew again.
Any ideas?
Cheers Tris
Should also have said that its a G reg 320 touring
No instruments & fuse 10 blowing

My fuse 10 blew when I was fiddinling with the stereo, dunno if that helps.
318iS became MR2 Turbo became FTO GPX Mivec became Impreza became Rover 620Ti became Honda S2000 (current) became Fiesta 1.25 and 200SX Drift Slag (when the Honda has gone)

Well it dosen't cheer me up Russ as I haven't been fiddling with anything!
So that means it's probably something more complicated.
Thanks though

Lift up the gear lever gaiter and find the two pin plug and socket to the reverse light switch that's in there. (green/white and blue/white wires).
Unplug this connector and try a new fuse again. Most likely place for a short on fuse 10 is the wiring to the reverse light switch on the gearbox under the car.

Brian YOU ARE A GENIUS that sorted it.
I guess I just have to replace the wire from the by the gear stick to the switch now. Is there a proper routing for the wire as mine dosen't look to clever?
I don't mind not having reversing lights, but I didn't realise how much I hate not having temperature gauge and oil pressure warning lights!!
Thanks again, I owe you a drink
