Front and Rear Gas Shocks for my 1991 e30 320i saloon

Hello all.....

I need change my front and rear shocks and want to upgrade to gas. Can anyone advise on the best ones to get (best value) and where to get them from? I've tried Swedish&German and and europarts and they were pricey and not that clued up on what I exactly needed.

Any advice appreciated!

With shocks it dont pay to go for cheap ones, I would go for Bilsteins.

Cheers, Ed.... So is there much difference between oil and gas shocks? The Bilsteins rear shocks on the europarts website look to be oil?

Just had I look in the europarts catalogue and they are Gas.
Can you still get oil shocks

Not sure if you can get oil but this is what I'm seeing in europarts catalogue.... Does this look about right?

Yes it does say oil

So they sell Gas front and oil rear

Gsf car parts sell Gas front and rear but dont say what make the are.

So the GSF decent shocks make are Boge/Sachs? Supposed to be okay.... Do you know much about them?
