right no1 is how the *uck do the rear seat backrests come out the bases were easy

no2 when changing the heater matrix does the servo have to be moved or can i just slip past it to remove it saving a load of time

no3 when removing the door locks does it come out the side(ie where the door locking plate is) or windows up interior trim off and go in through the hole (got a touring with odd locks but breaking one with them all the same)

no4 how do i remove the touring tailgate does the trim around the inside of the window just pull off showing me all the nuts i need to remove it (dont want to ruin the trim)

no5 the car im breaking is a se and all the bits are going into a lux is all the soundproofing the same (i know some cars of a higher spec have better soundproofing) ill keep all the panels if i can use them

1/ Whole rear seat back assembly is held on by a couple of spring clips on the hinge plate which have to be held forward, then the whole assembly moved slightly sideways. Dead simple when you've seen how it works.
To just remove the fabric parts from the seat backs, catch hold of the bottom of the backs and pull forwards. They are held in place by two strong spring clips which have sharp edges, and will probably remove some flesh from a finger or two.

2/ As far as I remember heater matrix clears the servo (bell crank, I presume) OK.

3/ The lock, as in where the key fits in, comes outwards after removing a large U clip inside the door. The rest of the catch and lock mechanisms all come out after removing the door card and membrane. The window runner that is in the way moves easily. Just undo the single bolt at the bottom and pull the metal channel section down slightly by letting the felt slide in it. The channel will unhook just below the bottom of the glass and can then be swung forwards out of the way.

4/ Just pulls off, but need to go very carefully. Often come across broken ones. Silicon rubber is good for refitting broken bits.

5/ Can't say I've noticed any difference in soundproofing. Wouldn't expect there to be any between a SE and a Lux.

Forgot to mention there's a couple of rectangular push in clips down each side of the tailgate side trim pieces that are the first thing to remove. Again, they are very fragile and break easily.
