Ive built this system for my M50 out of 3" 316 stainless but the sound is a bit too much 8O

Seems a shame to chop some of the middle out and replace with a box so was wondering, could i muffle the backbox using silencer wadding from motorcycle shop?

May sound stupid and might restrict it too much but i havent got a clue so you tell me!

Backbox does seem to be noisy though.

i cant see the pic at the mo, coz im on the work computer, however, M50 back boxes are quite bellowy anyway, and have a habit of getting worse and worse without actually defecting the car really, but just making it sound so bloody loud!!

HTH?

a custom s/s exhaust fabricator should have a small silencer that will be able to add midway through the system

only about 6" long and should give desired effect.

or, get a DB insert to suit the pipe ID from Jetex, all else fails, a turbo will take 15dB out
