Have been told by my garage and MOT guy I can ditch the CAT and get a straight through exhaust.
Anyone done this? I assume there's some power benefit. Is there a good exhaust which gives a little more sound over standard?

are you sure you have got a CAT??? is there a lambda sensor on the exhaust? check under the battery tray, if you have a spare connectoer, then you DO NOT have a CAT...
Aftermarket exhausts for the 318iS are few & far between.... the original exhaust was a good design.

Ah, now I'm not sure. I can't remeber why I thought it has a CAT
Will have a look.
Sounds like there's little advantage from changing the exhaust anyway? I was hoping to get a bit more midrange out of the engine. Any other tips? Have a viper chip and Pipercross air filter.
