Its just the oil level light if its up on the check panel. Nothing to worry about as long as you do have oil showing on the dipstick.

The oil level light staying on has been covered before, but I cant remember how to sort it - its not difficult IIRC. Try a search, but if you cant find anything Im sure someone will give the answer.

Oh, and any chance you can reduce you avatar size? Its a bit big.

if you have oil level on the dipstick dont worry, your light most likely the sensor knackered or full of shite, most if it covered here

The only occasion I can remember where the light stayed on and wouldn't go out, turned out to be a fault in the overhead check panel. Had a spare one so didn't trace the fault to component level, but was probably down to one of the small diodes or transistors on the board.
Since your problem appeared after an electrical disturbance, and I assume you hadn't been jacking one side of the car up, I would think that this may be your problem.
There is no direct connection whatsoever between changing the battery and the oil level sensor.
