roll bar sizes for poly bush kit

i have a 325i 1989, the roll bars are standard. what size do i tell the man?
is it 12,14,16 or 18??

is there no common size or size for year?

Front should be 20mm
rear should be 14.5

sorry its the rear im going on about, he didnt give me the option for 14.5, he said 14 or 16 (and 12 or 18)

people have has this before and have had to get the 16mm and cut a bit off

12mm 316 316i 318i 320i 325e 324d

13.5 italian market 316i saloon all tourings 325e from september 1986

14.5mm 320i and 323i from march 1985 325i 324d and 324td with sports suspension, all standard models with m tec suspension m3 318is 320i 320is and 325i cab with m tec suspension.

i measured it with some spanners...
14mm wouldnt go on at all
16mm went on but was a little loose, so mechanics reckoned it was about 15-15 1/2 mm
ive asked for 16mm
