has anybody got any idea how to cure my electric aerial problem, which is it only goes half way up

Could be a number of things.
1. The teeth on the plastic rod could be be stripped after 1/2 lift.
2. The motor has a switch geared off it and it could have slipped.
3. The aerial mast might be seized up.
Just as easy to bin it and buy one from GSF or Euro car prats.
If its the original Hirschman aerial the motors do burn out.

Scottybeemer , we should get together mate cos mine only goes half way down ! ! !
I just clean mine wiv a bit of thinners and give it some 3 in 1 once in a while , jobs a goodun !
