Just removed the OBC and wiring from my 320,though now it doesn't want to start ?! Anything obvious I need to check ? I only removed the wires that I needed to,ECU still plugged in etc etc Prior to removal it wasn't using the OBC immobiliser code thing so it can't be that ? Anyone experienced this before ?

you need the plug to bridge the two green wires at the SE connector by the glovebox dude.

look @ the plug you removed from there and link out the corresponding pins on the socket M8

Mate you're a star ! Opened glovebox, found connector, located some dodgy old bit of wire, shoved it in,turned key & six cylinders burst into life ! Result.

Any pics of your wheels ?! Mine's in members rides I think.

I've got the opposite problem, just fitted my OBC, stared my car up and it won't turn off, turn the keys and remove them and its still running  !

Have to stall it to turn it off, electrics go off though. Any ideas?

Bugger ! I wish I could help,it could well be something to do with the green plug Ant mentioned for my post as that must be connected to the ignition somewhere hence my failure to start.

Pretty sure everthing is in the right place, both the plugs off the OBC'x loom are in the control box.

Guessing i've done something to the wiring from the ignition barrel while doing the indicator stalk but can't find any lose wires

2 plugs to the control box? mine only had one and the obc works ok without it. I'm guessing the relay box is only required for the code function.

That gong that looks like a horn, where is it on the car ?! Should it be above the drivers legs ? Can't find the one on mine that I've just removed though the panel above the drivers knees was missing. I want to make sure I've got the full kit when I come to sell it

Jerran, the thing that looks like a horn, is a horn, it's what sounds if the CODE function is entered wrong so many times.

The gong is a small black box (lower right of the above pic) that looks somewhat like a speaker, and should be located aboe the drivers knees.

How do you find out the code and then enter it

i recently fitted a 13 button unit. The wires you refer to are for the code feature which i didn't bother with.

To enter a code you must turn the key to psition 1, press code on the obc and enter a 4 digit number. Then turn ignition off. When sarting the car turn the key to position 1 or 2 and then punch in the code number. You get 3 chances to get it right before the horn sounds.

I'll have another look for the gong tomorrow, think it's missing from the 320 I'm breaking. I think I'd crap myself if the someone had wired mine up and replaced the gong for a horn !!!
