Help with stripping sunroof out please

In the middle of stripping my old girl with the view to making it a track car.

I have taken the head lining out and the parts of the lecky sunroof which I can easily remove. Now im left with the large cradle which runs pretty much full length of the interior. How do I get that out? Short of angle grinding all the welded brackets off I cant see another way......

Is there? and if so what?

we just angle grided my mates out, neaten it up then rivet in some sheet metal.
