hiya people, i havent been on the forum for a good while.

and my recent problem has directed me to only 1 place and that is the e30zone.

ok well on thursday afternoon i decided to fit an Pipercross Viper induction kit, to replace the standard piece of kit.

Then on saturday when i was comming home from work after about 15 minutes of the car running, i get the alarm light flashing and the car stalls!.

so i then try to restart the car but as soon as i crank the car up the alarm light flashes, and the car stutters and shuts off (just as it is when u start the car without turning the imobiliser off).

so i fumble around with the alarm ISO connections, give it a few minutes and try again and hey presto everything is fine.

And then the same thing happend the next day on the way home from work, so i did the same fumbling around taking the ISO connections off and then putting them back on.

The next day after i have the car running for approx 30 minutes, and then another 40 minutes and everything is fine.

yesterday however the car stalls (with the alarm light flashing) and evidently the imobiliser stopping me from running the car, this happend 4 or 5 times on the road and was beggining to get my hair off! as on one of the 5 occasions i was broke down on a BLIND bend.

anyway after messing about with the iso connectors i then later travelled for approx 30 minutes and then it happend again.

this morning was the same as yesterday morning when it stalled 5 times, and then i decided to return home.

sorry about the rambling but i wanted to give someone a detailed description of my problem....im guessing it is the alarm and imobiliser??? but i dont even have the alarm and imobiliser turned on!! its turned off!! via a key.

i have just put my old ECU chip back in (swapping with ants e30zone chip) and i have put the standard induction kit back on.

i havent been out in the car yet so dont know if this has solved the problem.

any ideas? or has any1 had past experience of this problem?

thanks. Lee

Just had a very similar sounding problem with my car, intermittent starting and running probs, hot or cold. Eventually traced it back to the immobiliser circuitry breaking down inside. Turning the alarm off with the key probably won't make any difference as the coil and probably the starter and/or fuel pump will most likely be wired into it. I ended up completely removing the immobiliser and the problem has been solved.
