best engine

was prob the best engine to put in a e30 nothing to major just as long as its got power and is great on fuel i got a 2.7 m20 already?

m30 makes fro more power and is a rather simple swap. i just think the heavier motors make the car feel less tossable. s54 would be nice. but my dream is a s38 with a turbo. lots of choices but you will not see beter fuel economy with any of these.

what 2.7 do you have? is it the eta/320 head setup or the 325i with custom pistons jobbie?

If you want something thats better on fuel then a 2.7 without too much hassle, youre going to be dropping in the power stakes.

What is it you actually want?

I had an eta bottom end with an "i" head and super eta pistons made about 215hp then the timing belt snapped and killed my head and pistons. now i have a 200 casting head with a ton of porting so it is similar to the 320 head. and im working on a eaton m90 supercharger install im looking to make about the same 215hp but i won't be to toren when it only makes 180 or 190.
