I've got a dodgy power hood!! Can any one help, Its stoped working, I've xhecked the swithec and the motors in the boot and they both/all work, it just doesnt work from the swithch in the car. And even when I put it down manually I cant lock it properly so its liable to fly open! Nightmare!!!! Thanks

Hi
If you still have my number give me a call cheers
Let me know if any bars look bent, disconnected and assume you have now disengaged the motors in the boot

Yes mate, they'v been out for a while, I've checked the swithes and they turn the motors when you touch them, I can get the motors to turn constantly and do the movement but only with me doing it in the boot!
I followed a "re sync procedure I saw on a yahoo cabrio group but it didnt work, lol!

Sure mate, tel is 0208 3904249 or 0791 8887059, the link said to reingage them just as you turn the allen key, have a butchers, its pretty confusing. Also I think the frame might be bent cos the ex-bird tried to put it down withou un-hooking the handels, now when you'v got it ready to do up and your just about to pull it down and turn the handels, the right dide (above the driver) is a bit harder to pull down than the left, its millimeters though!

I would ideally need to see it...but best way to reset would involve removing bars and disconnecting the lid...send me the link and I will try and call you Monday as at Silverstone most of the day..I think you have managed to send then out of position 1 and 2 and if so they will not work as will break the casting bars and frame if it did...so you may be lucky...just a case of why it stopped they dont stop for no reason...
Check the bar from the main motor under the flap is now not loose if it is 99% certain you will need a new casting unless rose joint has snapped...as before impossible to be accurate without seeing it and testing

Thanks mate, I'll check it out, I have problems locking it when I put it down manually, I try to turn the allen key in the boot to lock but it will only turn a little way and the hook thigs on the right an the left that you can see under the little black flaps, well they arent locking down properly! Does that give you any idea?
