If you're looking for a 63 litre tank (with two level sender holes) then no-one seems to have them in stock at present. Both GSF and ECP have the single-sender 55 litre tank in stock.

for the filler pipe, either braze/weld hole or fill it with that metal repair stuff (2 tubes) from halfords.
then paint whole thing with straight to rust,

To drop out tank, first remove rear seat squab, remove blanking plates in floor and disconnect fuel pump/sender wires, and disconnect fuel supply/return hoses. depressurise fuel system first.Under the car: remove heat shield.Undo jubilee clip holding rubber hose from filler neck to tank neck and pull off hose from tank. then drop prop at diff end, and drop exhaust system. then its 6 or 8 bolts to drop the tank out.

mine was corroded right at the tank nozzle were it connects to the rubber hose.temp repair with some silicone sealer then pushed a longer hose on so it covered the hole then put a jubilee clip directly over the hole.a bit of a bodge job but it got it through the mot until i get around to fitting my new tank,Ԛ£80 ish from ECP.spend some of that cash youve got and get it done properly you tightwad

lol! given that i'm having a job to get anyone to paint it, something like this would take forever.fuzzy wrote:mine was corroded right at the tank nozzle were it connects to the rubber hose.temp repair with some silicone sealer then pushed a longer hose on so it covered the hole then put a jubilee clip directly over the hole.a bit of a bodge job but it got it through the mot until i get around to fitting my new tank,Ԛ£80 ish from ECP.spend some of that cash youve got and get it done properly you tightwad
I'll not need to drop the tank as its just the filler neck I can replace?

good question!fuzzy wrote:where exactly is it leaking from?
seem sto be pissing out just behind the wheel, suggesting a hole not too far from the fuel FLAP.

a likely spot is as mine was actually on the tank on the little bit pipe welded to the tank and tended to only leak when i filled it up leaving an embarrasing puddle on garage forecourts.if it on part of the down pipe just replace the whole downpipe with a single long length of a samco type silicon hose as i believe the original part is expensive to replace

filler pipe is easy to remove, just a few jubilee clips and one mount.
remove the rubber behind the flap and its so obvious!
i just used ronseal paint. bright yellow for a laugh!
makesure u give it a good going over with a wire brush
total cost bout Ԛ£12 with lots left overs.
one i did about a year and a haf ago is still fine now
think all filler pipes are the same exept cars with extra longrange tank, where the filler pipe is a "Y" shape
