Yesterday my old man bodged an immobiliser onto my car, and it's working fine. However something must have got severed or damaged as the tachometer is dead and the ecomomy guage and the green service lights all stay lit.

What wire/plug would cause this?

Thanks in advance,

my tach and econo gauge went out, too. at the same time. but no check lights are on.

I figure this has to be a connection as they both went out at the same time......

any thoughts?

It's not the check lights that were on, it's the service lights on the SI board which illuminated.

The problem has no gone and it's working fine, without me doing anything, but would still be interested to know what the probable cause could be.
