Helppp!! twats broke my ignition!!

had my 320i broke into yesturday, and the bastards tried to steal it, so now my ignition is a mess with the barrel on the floor, i haave just got a new igntion from the scap yard but how do i install it, i carnt just put the new barrel in the ignition because its all messed up now, what do i do??? do i neeed any special tools?cheers!
