my electric windows and sunroof seem to have stopped working for no apparant reason, fuses are fine and all connected up although ive discovered they all work fine when the passenger door is wide open
obviously it wouldnt really be safe to reach over and swing open the door when driving every time i want to open the window.the wires seem in good condition where they pass through the rubber boot at the door so does anyone have an idea where i should look first and what is the colour of the wires that control the windows.electrics isnt really one of my strong points

First thing you should do is sort out the driver's door interior light switch - so that you can work the windows/roof a bit more safely by opening the driver's door instead.
Windows/roof work off fuse 28 with the doors open, or fuse 17 with the ignition on and doors closed, so the first thing to do is carefully check fuse 17.
Next, check if yout mirrors and heater fan are working.
The widows/roof and mirrors/fan both work through two unloader relays in the fusebox. If the mirrors/fan are still working, then your problem may well be relay K5. If they aren't, then the problem is with the unloader relay control circuit, which is contained in the starter motor.

all fusees and relays seem to be fine and the heater and wing mirrors still work although i dont have the uploader relay circuit contained in the starter motor as my starter motor is ford.the wires might have been 'adjusted' during the conversion.ill need to have a closer look during the week

Try pulling relay K5 (assuming it's still there) and link pins 30 and 87 of its socket. Should make the windows work ignition on or off.
