check control q

on my car i have Bosch check control unit and i need to replace it, can i put an VDO unit i found on scrappy or it has to be Bosch,
will it work properly??

Didn't realise they were made by more than one manufactuer, but they will be directly interchangeable, just like the instrument clusters.
