Guys,

Where can I find the fuelpumprelay in the E30 5/1991 series. Is it fitted somewhere under the steeringwheel?

thnx!

Question doesn't make sense! E30 is a 3 series. 1991 3 series is an E36, unless it's a touring or cab. 1991 5 series is an E34 and the fuel pump relay position on any of them depends on the engine size.

Well, it's either going to be under a small black plastic cover near the Airbox, or under the long lateral black plastic cover on the bulkhead.

I'm hoping we can assume it's an E30 based on the forum the question has been posted on?

White relay under the black plastic cover just back from the airbox on my 1990 sport.

It's a 1991 E30 cab. He's got another thread on the go which i found just after I posted the above, and answered his question on that thread.

The problem was the fuelpumprelay. I replaced it with a new one. I was wondering by the way, if there is a difference between the fuelpump relay and the orange ones in the fusebox. Cause the seem to have the same connectionpointnumbers...

Same relay AFAIK. Nothing special about it - just a simple single pole normally open 12 volt relay.

Yep - same, or certainly function the same, having used them both for the same purpose in the past.
