Could somebody please tell me if I can replace my front springs without pulling apart my lower suspension components. I am uprating my springs but not the dampers and seeing as it is only a 40mm drop and the car has lost a lot of weight, I am not changing dampers yet.

I was hoping that it would be possible to simply- remove wheel, undo strut top mounts, compress spring and then swap them over.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Save yourself the head ache. Just take the whole thing out. I tried to do that so many times and I just wound up destroying part of my fender. Remove the strut from the control arm and tie rod and from the strut tower. It also makes it easier to hold down the shock to get the nut off the top.

I repeat. DONT cut corners. Trust me, its faster.
