Newbie ( to E30's ) here, just need experienced peoples opinions!

Currently have a 250brake 200sx with LSD, and an looking to get an E30 325i Touring but most seem to have open diffs, and reading around LSD's aint cheap or easy to come by.

Im having to raise some cash and get something more practical, hence a Touring, but im used to hanging the tail out in the SX - am i likely to be asking for trouble if i dont get a LSD'd Touring?

All input appeciated :D

LSD's aren't that hard to find or to fit.

I have a 3.64 LSD here which would suit a touring perfectly if you were interested.

It's £250 mate... I ws going to stick it on ebay this weekend but if you were interested then I'll hold off.

It's probably a couple of hours job, worst one I ever did was 6 hours but that was because of some problems dropping the exhaust down. I've changed plenty now so can nail it in a few hours if the weathers good and there's a plentiful supply of tea :D

Jon_b is a very trustowrthy guy, if you're buying from him you know that what you'll be getting won't be crap!

I'll probably stick it on ebay tomorrow or Sunday so let me know before then if you decide you'd like it. I could always end the auction!!

If you like some tail happy action then you'll be pretty stuffed without the LSD because open diffs make the handling quite unpredictable and snappy.

I don't know if it's just the extra weight over the rear wheels in the Touring, but I don't find my car handles badly, and it's a 320i with an open diff. On the limit, it breaks away progressively, (rear end) and is controllable in the wet! In the dry I think it's a different story, and I'd need an LSD for drifting, but I really don't think it's that bad!

Mine can be held with the tail out, on full opposite lock if you like round roundabouts. That's in the wet though. My mate has a video on his camera as proof! Waiting for him to d/l it to his computer.

Oh right!

I didn't think anyone but Karl (green BMW touring) was watching!?

I got a bollocking for that from Security!

Great fun though!
