Are they suitable for a 318is, and where do they go..?

I am under the impression they are front anti roll bar links?

they are tie bars of some kind.

not track rod ends because there is no adjustment.

Look like ARB droplinks, dunno what they are off though.
Front ARB links on the e30 are a 90 degree turn not 180. e30 ones are 1 balljoint and 1 bush. They also look way too long.

At a guess they are indeed front ARB links but they will be off something with the droplink attached to the damper rather than the wishbone.

the old 7 series E32 has anti roll bar links about that long...

E30 ones are a lot shorter -they look like this:

I thought the M3 used that type of link as opposed to this one ^.
