Hi There, im just trying to identify the cam in my 325i sport breaker. The car felt powerful, more so than my own early 325i. What markings should be on the cam to show that it is a standard BMW cam? On a later 325i cam I have, it reads LYD 12 in between the 2nd and 3rd journals (i think).
On the one in my sport I can't see any markings, but it looks to have been balanced, other than that there are no real markings other than a roundish stamp.
I have also removed from the same car an ECU, which reads
Performance products from camco 88
type ecu engine control
part no. CAM xebm0073
Man no. 0 261 200 073
Any ideas on this part? Is it different from the standard ecu?
Thanks
Theo
