My fuel gauge is quite erratic, i've checked the sender unit and its okay, how does the instrument cluster come out, i do remember eading something about a nut or two on the back and batteries? Any help grateful.

a lot of people have this!
my whole left side has gone! when i really give the car some abuse the speedo goes in reverse! i.e drop down a cog at 60 and boot it! the speedo hits 0 let off it rises a bit!
its all good fun eh!

loose connection perhaps.
wiring for sender is under rear bench seat.
pull instrument cluster out and check connections on that too.
