Does anyone know whether it is worth changing the plastic spigot rings to aluminium?

I have the BK Alpina Reps and was wondering if anyone has any experience using aluminium spigot rings?

If you have vibration issues, doing the swap has helped some people! This ain't first hand experience though... :thumb:

yeah, I had BK reps and it used to shake like a shitting dog at 50+, eased off by 80+.

Replaced the plastic rings with more plastic rings from WheelsUK, cost about £18 posted and sorted the wobbles out straight away.

If you do a search for WheelsUK this will pull up an old post by me where I have given the tel number, think they are in Nuneaton. Spoke to a bloke called John, just tell him what your car is and what wheels you have and he will post you the goods.

If that don't work then you maybe want to check things like the track rod ends etc.

Yeah should be fine.

The rings don't bear any load, they just locate the wheel while you tighten up the bolts.

57.1mm is the inner hub diameter on e30s, I presume then 73.1mm is the diameter on the inside of the alloy itself. These are not all the same, mine were 57.1/75.0 so if you are getting a set made up make sure you measure the inside diameter of the rim beforehand.
