I wondered if anyone knew of any technical guides or threads on how to replace rear disks and pads (91' 318is) - it's a job I need to do this weekend...

Thanks in advance!

The Haynes manual is on line here http://hosting.data.bg/bmw/BMW/E-Books/ ... 20-%20E34/

but the job is a pretty easy one, tbh....

You'll need a 7mm (?) allen key for the job; either a caliper bolt key or an allen key socket, (for the pad retaining bolts), and some serious leverage to loosen the caliper housing bolts. Apart from that, it's a doddle. Just remember to leave the handbrake off (ahem).

And a 5mm allen key / socket to remove the disc retaining screw.

Nice one, thanks all for the tips/encouragement! I'd assumed for some reason it would be a pain in the ass...
