My SI Lights only come one when I turn the ignition on then they go out, I think they should be on all the time shouldn't they?
I know its only about a 1000 miles since the last service when they were reset.
If I need a new one / replacement any recommendations where to go. I know that the batteries leak after so many years and kill the board.

Just before I bought the car back from my mate he had a replacement second hand speedo fitted by a BMW specialist, cost him about £180 as the old one was faulty. Could this have caused a problem?
