Hi guys just a quick one, ive heard that fitting an E36 airflow meter to the E30 325i/2.7i is a good upgrade, now alot of people said yess. but one problem, my airflow meter connector is square but on the E36 aiflow meter connector is round, what can be done for this modification??

If anyone has tried it, let us know and am interested specially how to convert the plugs........

Regards

More than just changing plugs is involved...............

Have a look about for "MAF Conversion", then get your wallet out..........

if someone made a reasonably priced kit (read not US1000 like the split second kit) i'd be up for it. Its probably more economical to go MAP using standalone ATM.

The MAF conversion is very expensive.

Whether it's worth it is a different matter but it certainly does make a big difference over the AFM.

Stand alone ECU's are getting very cheap now.

Throttle response with no AFM or MAF is truly amazing. You can floor the throttle as quick as you want and the response is immediate.

If mapped carefully stand alone can also return some excellent fuel consumption on cruising.

The Alpina returns unbelievable MPG on cruising.

If you want to keep your M20 and get the most out of it Stand Alone is the way forward.

I cannot stress how much difference it makes.
