Hi folks, just a quick one for you all. I have taken out my injectors on my 325i 1990 rag top. I have new O ring and on the advice of the bently manual put light oil on them, but how can you tell if the injectors are seated in the inlet manifold correctlt and into the fuel rail. Mine seem to be loose and wobble about a bit, thanks :?

They're relatively foolproof.

If you get them into the rail so that the little retaining clips can go on and none of the O-rings are poking out where they shouldn't be (anywhere) then they're in that correctly.

Once properly installed in the rail, walk them into the manifold until the rail mounting holes line up with the mounting bosses and you can get the bolts in.

That's it really.

They'll still be wiggleable as they're just suspended in the O-rings, although absolutely flapping about would suggest something's wrong.
