Hi all please help.
I've fitted new pads and discs to my cabby and one new caliper too. (ATE calipers).
Both sides are squealing, but only when I am off pedal...

The discs are standard from ecp/gsf (can't recall) and the pads are textar.

Is this a bad combination?

BTW, the pad backs are copper greased and the friction material edges have been chamfered.

I may well be off to buy and fit fresh pads...

did you copper grease the ends of the pads where they fit into the carrier, and are the anti-rattle springs touching the disc at all?..... also if there are heat-shields check that they are not catching.

No heat sheild contact, but also no anti- rattle springs on these calipers...
The pads were greased all over.
Turning the wheel by hand causes the squeal as well.

somthings touching the disk, never had the pads out of a E30 but on a lot of calipers theres steel shims at each end of the pad, are these located properly? and clearing the disk where it passes through the carrier?
