Does anyone know the official (BMW) cambelt change intervals for a 1993 1.6 M40 engine. I changed mine (including two pullies)
when I bought the car Sept 03 about 19,000 miles ago and wasn't sure when to do the next oneMany thanks

Does anyone know the official (BMW) cambelt change intervals for a 1993 1.6 M40 engine. I changed mine (including two pullies) when I bought the car Sept 03 about 19,000 miles ago and wasn't sure when to do the next one

I think its every 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, but some recomend every 20,000 miles. So to be conservative, every 3 years or 20,000 miles.
