sunroof messed up

my bro undone his sunroof on his e30 because the seal was messed up the little plastic in the seal was flapping.

he undone his sunroof from the mechanism at the time the roof was fully folded into the roof lining so now all the timings out and the sunroof doesnt close fully hes having a problem putting the roof lining under the sunroof back and when he trys to put the sunroof back it doesnt go back it gets stuck

any ideas how he can make everything run smooth again with anything getting caught orr jamming

Can't quite understand what you are saying, but the E30 sunroof is easy to time up.
If he didn't remove the motor/handle, I can't see how he can have messed the timing.
