heater plated in tb

just read about kos 318is and says he has removed the heater plated in the throttle body.does anyone know how to do it and does it give you more bhp

the function of this is to kep the trottle from freezing shut in cold climates, it is easy to do just pull the two heater hoses off the throttle body and join them with a fitting, not sure of the accual gains but in theroy it will make the intake air cooler hence more power
