My E30 has blown up i think!! any help?

After attempting a bit of driftin to day in my '86 318i 2door i turned the car an when i went to start it agin an it wont start properly now, it just pops then cuts out, some one said it sounds like its miss firing?? is this a propelem any1 has come across? If so how do i fix it, cos halfords wont be too happy when the car is left in the car park too long! lol

have you cheked the cambelt mate my have slip or snaped

I would also recon the cam belt. It would be the first place to look at. What were you doing drifting a 1.8 in the dry, it has a good chance of breaking!! :mad:

No combelt its a m10! Chain driven

Can you turn the engine over by hand? (socket on the front pully)

Make sure all the HT leads are on properly.

Also may have snapped a negative battery strap

have you got enough fuel in?

The tyres were well oiled up so it dunt matter bout the dry. And i never thought about petrol.......

just put sum petrol in this morning, it wont start at all now, just keeps turning, im really puzzled, think im gonna ave to get a pro to look at it.
