Whats your views on this? Instead of wrapping the manifold to reduce under bonnet tempratures putting a cermic coating on the inside?
Its something I'm tempted to do with the 6 branch I've got on order.
Ceramic coating manifolds?

ceramic is the best thermal barrier out there, worth investing in, however the thermal tape is almost as effective and a lot cheaper, if a little less easy on the eye.
I liked your long runner design dude, you shelved it then ?

Yeah, had some major issue with the company doing the work and had a long chat with someone who knows their exhaust design. It came down to the design I had in mind would result in engine over heating and inefficient gas flow. The gas flow I was willing to put up with for the "show" value of it, but of heating and damage not. After a bit more research I've decided to go for a "go" exhaust under floor to maximise engine power instead.Ant wrote:ceramic is the best thermal barrier out there, worth investing in, however the thermal tape is almost as effective and a lot cheaper, if a little less easy on the eye.

I may still add side pipe at some point (coming out from under the floor), but not to start with.
