electric ariel question

does anyone know if the mast can be replaced or do i need a new unit i reversed out of the garage tonite with ariel up and bent it so it only goes 3/4 of the way down

new one is £30 from gfs. Get the black one - much nicer than the chrome

GSF or eurocarparts tend to sell the complete aerial. Hirschman or Beru are fine.

ETK lists a seperate mast ( telescope) for one version of the OE antenna, but not for the other.

Don't think the electric aerial assembly comes apart. Mine was stuck fully up when i bought it, so replaced the whole thing. Was £26 or something like that. Had to have a bit of a bodge session as you can't get the aerial out in one bit when it's extended, and the new bracket didn't match the old one.

I've taken a couple of these apart - just get a new one! A whole lot easier, trust me; check ebay if you're low on funds (there's always a few on), and don't pay more than a tenner - I got a second hand one for £10 at Gaydon last year.

Yeah its complete unit. Takes about 10mins to fit
