Should I be able to twist this???????

I have a squeaking/clunking noise coming from my drivers side front suspension. In the picture below I can easily rotate item 8 from left to right (twisting). Basically item 10 stays still and item 8 can be rotated from left to right, twisting about it.

But on the passengers side I cannot.

My question is should I be able to do this and could this be the cause of my constant squeak/knock?

There is a rubber bush cast into the bottom of part number 8 preventing it from being twisted.

You need a new one.

i think you can buy a bush at superflex..otherwise its the whole thing £26

Is this easy to change? Just and unbolt and swap job?

Should I change both sides?

if one has gone the other can't be far behind.......i watched my mechanic just take one off and put the new one on...the arb bushes were a proper swine tho
