Ok on my cab i have a standard rear box it seems to hang quite low folwer commented on it a while ago, im now in the process of geting hold of a new sports back box and fitting my mtech 1 kit when it arrives.
Will the mtech 1 kit hide the hang or is there anything i can do to bring the box up more?????
Thanks
Neil

Speaking generically, it's normally an problem with the mounting of the zoorst or the mountings themselves. Some cars have rubber "O" rings which hook onto the underside of the car and the zoorst hangs of them. If they are badly worn/sagging the zoorst will also sag/be lower than normal.

It shouldnt be that low, you will have 2 metal straps each connected to a rubber suspending thing, not the kinky kind...theyre mine...but check the metal straps are really tight and as mentioned the rubber thingy are not worn, heres a photo of a sports box with a tech 1 kit (i think thats the one your getting?) so you know how it should look..

Makes a big difference ... my old ones were 5 years old and sagging badly.
May I ask if there are any tips on fitting the rubber rings ?
Last time it took me 10 mins with a pair of screwdrivers and a lot of swearing to fit one. There must be a knack where thety just pop on.
And does anyone have a picture of the gearbox mounting bits fitted ?
I can't seem to get the bracket that holds the pipes to match up with the gearbox fitting. (hope that makes sense - doesn't seem to fit as easy as it looks on realoem).

Did mine ages oga so i'm not sure but i think i rotated them 90 degrees so the thinner bit's were at the sides to make it easier to strech, then got the bracket in and turned it back to the upright position.
As for the gearbox mount, start from the front and work your way back when fitting the exhaust and bolt the carrier to the box first.
It may be worth loosening all the unions off a bit until you get it all together.

or fit the rear box brackets to the rubbers then fit to car, then put back box in bracket!
