wiring in a map mirror

basicaly, i ripped it out of a car today and ive got these two stubs, one black and one grey, i have a check computer and was wondering if i can join it in there, or do i need to run extended wires to one of the interior lights, and which wires do i hook up to ?

Hi mate,

You can wire it into the check computer.....but make sure you get the correct wires cos there are a couple of the green and violet ones.

I've wired mine into the electric sunroof, if you leave the light switched on, it comes on when you open the door too

yep good stuff, it can easily be done, now.. which wire is which, i dont have a multim.

the black one is earth?
and the grey/black is live?

dont want to fry this baby or worse.. so whats the call dudes?
