Hi Guys,

Does anyone know to remove the backrest section of the rear seat in a touring?

Seat bases came out a doddle but I can't see how the backrests come out.

Cheers in advance.

Two little spring clips near the bottom. Lift them up and slide the whole lot sideways slightly, NOT attack it with a lump hammer and cold chisel, like the one I came across a few weeks ago.

They are not that obvious untill you know where they are. Often find one broken off.

Yes real easy when you know how, when they're split you have to push the seat towards the middle of the car I think, you push it or pull it and it sits on 2 lugs, I once attacked with a lump hammer and pry bar only to look a fool when the mrs. came out with a cuppa nd removed them after a 10 second look at what I was doing !
