Where can i find a +ive 12v with the ignition in the accessories position? As i need to power a GPS receiver. For a Home made Sat Nav system with build in Speed camera detection.

I really hate tapping into existing circuits for this sort of thing. Your best bet is to use one of the spare fuse slots in the fuse box and have a dedicated fused circuit for the accesories.

All the unused fuse spaces will already have a connection on one side. Just find one that is ignition switched, add a wire to the outer end of the fuse, pop a suitable fuse in place, and off you go :thumb:

If you need a crimp connector for the fuse box, let me know, and I'll pop a couple in an envelope.

Cheers,

Ian.

Nice one Ian, yeah i think i will do that actually. Just getting the cable through the bulk head!

I think i have the crimps left over from when i was doing my electric fan.

The largely unused multipin socket behind the glovebox is for accessories. There are permanent lives and switched lives from several fuses available here.
I know some of them, but have yet to find a full diagram for the socket anywhere.
