Hi Guys,

The screen in my original VDO unit in my car was cracked when i bought the car so I have never actually had it working. But recently i bought another unit of ebay (which the seller says was working when he took it out his car), problem is i've wired it up but it doesnt seem to do anything! When i turn the car lights on, the buttons do light up on the VDO unit but thats it. Is there some kind of reset required?

Cheers!

No reset is needed. if the buttons light up, the unit is getting power.

can you see anything in the display at all ?

it's possible that one of the bulbs in the light bar has been damaged in the post. replace it with your old one to see. (it just pulls out of the side of the unit)
