window button?!?!?!

Now then guys,

I have a 320ic and in front of the 4 electric window buttons is a larger elongated button. When I press this it pops up, then my electric window wont work....up or down. Push the button back in and after say 60 seconds the window buttons start working again! Whats this pesky button do? I need to know :x 8O

I think its just a safety switch cause theres always power to the eleccy windows so when you leave the car you can turn it of.

Ive seen a few cars with them bypassed and the eleccy sunroof button moved down from the roof lining.
