Is there any of the remaining key showing in the lock or is it too far in?
You could always try sticking something to the end of it to pull it out?

As I still dont have a BMW yet Im not sure how theyre built etc but Im just wondering if you took off the inner door card would it reveal the lock and maybe there'd be some way of pushing the key out through the lock in some way from the inside?
Just an idea though so maybe someone else can say if its possible.

Lock assembly comes out fairly easily (remove door card, and slide spring clip sideways).
It could then be possible to drill a very small hole in the far end of the barrel, and push the remains out. Theory only: never tried it.
