Hi
going to look at a nice looking 325i convertable tonight, friend of a friends. Few little things i know thats wrong with it, split rear screen and baffles on their way out in the exhaust.
The drivers side windows go down ok, but do not go up. you have to switch the switches over with those on passenger side to get em back up which i guess is just a dirty/faulty switch unit is this common?
Any other things to look for, shes done 104k and is manual

cheers

Hi there...

I haven't heard of the switches problem before, but I have some lying around which I could send you to cure the problem if you buy the car!

Apart from that check for overheating, creamy mayo like stuff under the oil filler cap (cracked head/headgasket gone), and rust in general places....arches, scuttle panel etc.

Check the engine mounts are broken, they are cheap to fix though, so it could be a bargaining tool.

General condition obviously, rips and stuff on the interior..

Smooth operation of hood....even if it is manual.

Some more people will post up some more ideas I think!!

Good luck!

i had same problem with my switches. the guy i bought them off thought it was the mototr so knocked him down bit extra. you just need to open up the switches and clean them. mine were dirty as fook.
